About the Company
Otakaro Limited takes a vital leadership role in the regeneration of Christchurch. Funded by the Crown, Otakaro is a commercially-focussed company charged with overseeing the delivery of key central city projects – both vertical and horizontal – and the divestment of specific Crown assets. As the leaders behind the development of the Convention Centre (Te Pae), Otakaro has identified a need to ensure that the transition from construction to operation is carefully managed (The Project) and in order to do this, employ a Design and Construction/Asset Management/Facility Management Interface Manager (D&C/AMFM Interface Manager).
About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Manager, Property and Facilities and working closely with a number of teams across both Otakaro and ASM Global (service provider/operator), the D&C/AMFM Interface Manager’s core focus will be to manage the design and construction relationship interface with ASM to ensure the business’ long-term interests are protected.
Providing an interface between Otakaro and ASM (as well as other stakeholders as required), the D&C/AMFM Interface Manager will drive the establishment of AMFM strategies for the Centre to ensure that it is established in line with the agreed frameworks. Specifically, this role will:
Review and participate in the commissioning process
Procure subcontractors required to deliver maintenance in addition to the DLP suppliers
Manage the defect liability period and identify any latent design issues
Liaise with ASM on the performance and selection of subcontractors to deliver ongoing maintenance beyond the defects liability period
Contribute to the development of the long-term Asset Management Plan
Manage the handover of responsibilities back to ASM at the end of the Defects Liability Period
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have a solid track record in facilities and/or asset management complemented by sound commercial skills. You will also have had experience with the commissioning and handover of large venues as well as be familiar with a range of Computerised Maintenance Management Software (CMMS) products.
This is a role that will suit a driven individual who has the ability to work effectively within a dynamic and changing work environment; someone who is ready to jump in and take on a new challenge, contributing to the development and success of this Christchurch-centric organisation. Is this you?
